19EME JOURNEE AFL: LE BILAN


Cette journée a été marquée par le probant succès de Collingwood face aux Cats de Geelong dans le choc du championnat qui avait des allures de répétition de Grande Finale. Malgré un manque de réussite lié à une grande maladresse dans la finition, les Magpies ont tout de même tenu le tenant du titre à distance grâce à une victoire 107 à 85.
Au classement, Collingwood compte désormais 6 points d'avance sur Geelong et 8 sur Saint Kilda qui a renoué avec la victoire en étrillant l'équipe de Port Adelaide sur le score de 151 à 57.
Les Western Bulldogs (photo) ont profité de la défaite de Fremantle (69-123 contre les Kangaroos de North Melbourne) pour prendre une option pour finir dans le Top 4.
Le suspense reste entier quant à l'attribution des places parmi les huit premiers puisque les Kangaroos 9èmes et les Demons 10èmes peuvent encore espérer jouer les trouble-fêtes s'ils profitent de faux pas de Carlton,Sydney ou Hawthorn. Les Hawks ont d'ailleurs perdu ce week-end face aux Swans de Sydney 85-129. Les trois prochaines journées s'annoncent donc passionnantes dans l'attribution des affiches des Finals.
Enfin, dans le match des mal classés, les Brisbane Lions ont battu in extremis la lanterne rouge West Coast par 5 petits points d'écart (70-65).
